Katy Perry's Birthday Music Video

Just after my super throwback 21st Birthday Photoshoot blog post, I've learned that Katy Perry released an official music video for her newest single "Birthday" from her 3rd album, Prism

Read more about what I think about Katy Perry's newest music video, "Birthday" after the jump!

I've loved the song ever since I got a copy of her Prism album last October. Aside from Roar, Unconditionally, Dark Horse, Ghost, It Takes Two and By The Grace of God, I gotta say that Birthday is definitely one of my favorite feel-good Prism song and I am so happy that she released an official music video for it!

In the video, Katy disguised as five Birthday entertainers namely Ace the Animal Trainer, Princess Mandee, Goldie the Dancer, Yosef Shulem and Kriss the Clown and attended five Birthday parties. OHMYGOSH!!! My favorite would be Princess Mandee (I love how she talks! So Yannie-like! Hahaa!) and how she paints those poor kid's faces on the Face paint booth and Ace the Animal Trainer who made some kids cry when he(she) placed a live mouse on his(her) mouth! Hahahaa! The video is insanely hilarious! I just love Katy Perry to death!!!

Katy as Goldie and kinda looks like another favorite Pop Star of mine, Britney Spears at this shot. Is it just me or did you guys notice that too? Photo from Katy Perry's official Facebook page.

The song is very cheery and happy, gives me the happy, celebratory vibes of her previous hit "Last Friday Night" from her 2nd album, Teenage Dream. And I'm really happy Katy's finally back to her goofy, weird and funny self in this music video. I was honestly worried when I heard that her Prism songs are far more deeper and darker than her Teenage Dream sound. Katy even said "I can't be the Candy Queen forever" in one magazine interview before which kinda made me worried cause I'm such a big fan of her goofy and weird music video concepts. This video reminded me of why I am so in love with Katy, the super funny gal with a cotton candy skirt we've all learned to love since I Kissed a Girl. Katycat forevs!!
