I don't know but those lines above from Tay-Tay's newest hit single reminds me so much of my happy highschool crushes. You know that certain rush of kilig you feel whenever you see that cutie you've been eyeing on around school? Suddenly everything feels happy and that feeling of happiness radiates and gives you an instant glow!
I believe having a crush is the next best thing to a make-over--because when you're crushing on someone, you don't need to exert an effort to dab some of that blush or constantly flip your hair cause you just know and you feel so good! You just randomly realize that your day is better just by thinking or speaking about your crush! You know the best part? Life is rosier! *I'm even giggling while typing this hihihi*
I know some of you may be rolling their eyes while reading this but don't get me wrong, I'm not talking about the obsessive kind of crush that makes you cry at night cause it's been five long years and he still hasn't noticed you. I'm talking about the type that inspires you to be a better version of yourself everyday! That one happy crush that makes you feel so good despite all your flaws and that deep eyebags due to long nights of cramming over an exam. How I remember daydreaming about my cutie campus crush during my highschool days! Haha.
My whole point is, having a crush is not really a bad thing. Aside from the extra confidence boost it gives you the moment he flashes his adorable grin or when he randomly asks what day it is (it's October 3rd!), having a crush makes you feel like you're on top of the world.
It's like having a little vial of potion in your pocket that you can instantly whip out and sip anytime you need a quick pick-me-up. It's the next best thing to being in love. In fact, because it's basically just one big rush, it might be even better! Haha.
